The Training Centre of Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) is organising a Seminar for Portuguese-speaking Countries regarding Inspection of Economic and Trade Activities.
The Seminar will take place from November 8 to 22. Civil servants and representatives from the private sector from Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal and East Timor have registered for the event.
Scholars from the University of Saint Joseph will conduct the Seminar. It includes talks, as well as field trips in Macao related to inspection of economic and trade activities. Participants will also attend the China Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo. In addition, the programme includes a visit to INNO Valley HQ, on Hengqin Island. The aim of that activity is to promote exchanges between Portuguese-speaking Countries and Mainland China and to introduce projects that are being developed at this newly launched hub for business start-ups. The China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone will also be explained to participants during the visit.
The Seminar aims to: strengthen exchanges between Portuguese-speaking Countries and Mainland China; improve participants’ professional skills in order to promote regional economic co-operation; and to develop co-operation in education and human resources, thus deepening Macao’s role as a service platform for commercial co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.
