Chinese livestock company to buy 41,600 eviscerated cattle from Brazil this year

Hulun Buir Meat Industry (Group) Co., Ltd will import 41,600 eviscerated cattle (without the entrails) from Brazil every year, according to a newly signed strategic cooperation agreement.


The cooperation agreement covers segments of the production chain such as animal nutrition products, beef imports and exports, logistics, storage and distribution.


The eviscerated animals will be transported by sea from Brazil to the Port of Tianjin in northern China, with an expected trade volume of 667 million yuan (US$93.4 million) this year.


Founded in 2013, Hulun Buir Meat Industry (Group) Co., Ltd is a leading Chinese company in agricultural and livestock industrialization, specializing in breeding, fattening, slaughtering, fine processing, production of halal pre-prepared foods and marketing of beef and lamb. In 2024, the group recorded an annual turnover of 7.2 billion yuan.
