A new clothing factory with a monthly production capacity of 900,000 pieces, was inaugurated on June 21 in Luanda as an investment by the Sino-Angolan consortium Befran / D&J, budgeted at 2.5 million dollars.

Installed in Viana Park, Luanda, in an area of 1,500 square meters, the unit will produce a variety of clothing, towels and napkins at affordable prices.

Given the limited supply capacity of the textile sector, of the list of inputs used for production, only the fabric is purchased locally, with the buttons, zips, washers, among others, imported from China.

In the short to medium term, the project envisages training production line employees to handle state-of-the-art machines. For this reason, a group of employees will, in the coming days, reinforce their technical capacity to operate more modern machines with training guided by professionals of Chinese nationality.
