Prospecting for partnerships in sanitation projects was the subject of a meeting between Cedae professionals and representatives of CITIC Group Corporation, a Chinese state-owned investment company, held on January 24.

During the meeting, Ma Xuefeng, general director of CITIC Latin America, spoke about the projects developed in countries such as China, Angola, Venezuela and Kazakhstan. The projects use methods such as reuse water in industries, desalination (removing salt from seawater) and membranes for advanced water treatment.

Cedae, represented by CEO Aguinaldo Ballon and technical and projects director Humberto Mello, presented the delegation with the main projects underway, such as the modernization of the Guandu Water Treatment Plant (WTP), the construction of Novo Guandu and the new WTPs in the Acari System.

"In order to align future partnerships, it's important to have exchanges like these, where we show our challenges and the technologies we're trying to implement. That way, the company can propose new solutions to optimize the process," said Ballon.
