Representatives of the northern Portuguese city of Braga and the Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry are due to sign today an agreement to work together to attract Chinese companies to the city, O Minho reports.
The Portuguese newspaper says the purpose of the agreement is to drum up business for Braga companies and lure Chinese companies to invest and trade in the city.
The report says the signing is the last event on the schedule of the day-long Braga-China Economic Forum, which will discuss how to increase economic ties between the city and the world outside, and how to support Braga companies seeking to penetrate the Chinese market.
Chinese Ambassador to Portugal Cai Run and Braga Mayor Ricardo Rio are attending, O Minho reports.
