The government of Guinea-Bissau will ask the Chinese government to give it cameras and other equipment for the public broadcaster Guinea-Bissau Television, Macauhub reports.
The news website quotes Guinea-Bissau Prime Minister Umaro Sissoco Embaló as saying so in a meeting with staff of the television network.
The report says the prime minister also said China might consider paying for the construction of a building to house all Guinea-Bissau media.
China has already been given public and private media in Guinea-Bissau considerable support in cash and kind, the website says.
