The Portuguese government will take a roadshow around the world to attract foreign investment in its tourism sector, the Jornal de Negócios reports. The newspaper reports that Mainland China is among the destinations.
Tourism Secretary of State Ana Mendes Godinho announced the tour on Wednesday, saying it would begin next month and also include India, the United States, Brazil and Cuba among the first round of destinations.
“We will be showing our advantages to investors,” Ms Godinho was quoted as saying.
The Portuguese government also plans to launch a platform with information for investors.
