To better publicise official information updates – as well as the latest information about activities held by the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), also known as Forum Macao – the Support Office of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao has launched its official WeChat account.

The WeChat account also aims to promote the role of Macao as service platform between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries. The WeChat account will serve to provide timely information about Forum Macao to the public, to businesses and to local and overseas institutions. Members of the public may add the newly created WeChat account via their mobile phone or other type of electronic media device.

The WeChat account of the Support Office of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao will share information on the work done by the Support Office, as well as providing updates on activities organised by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao. It will also share information about Macao’s role as a platform between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.

Via the WeChat account, the general public and businesses will be able to know, in real time, the latest updates on Forum Macao’s activities and the economic situation of Macao. Among the information shared via the WeChat account will be data about exchanges, co-operation and promotion in the areas of economy, trade and investment. There will also be information about human resources training courses organised by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, as well as updates on cultural exchanges and co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.
