The Cape Verde-China Friendship Association (Amicachi) will hold the Chinese Year Gala on January 25, at the National Auditorium in Praia, as part of the 11th edition of the Chinese Cultural Week in Cape Verde. Chinese Cultural Week runs from January 24 to February 2.

According to a press release from Amicachi, the program also includes a China-Cape Verde Cultural Show, in the city of Mindelo, in São Vicente, on February 2, and the celebration, this year, of the Chinese New Year under the sign of the snake, considered by the Chinese.

By holding the Cultural Week, Amicachi intends, according to the same source, to contribute to the promotion of Chinese culture in Cape Verde, Cape Verdean culture, the exchange between the two cultures, as well as the construction of a space for fostering and development of relations between the two countries in various areas.
