The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) says it has taken about 60 businesspeople from Portuguese-speaking parts of the world on a 3-day tour of the southern Chinese cities of Zhongshan and Shenzhen.

IPIM says in a written statement that the party included people in the businesses of tourism, culture, legal services, food and beverage, and logistics.

The statement says they first visited the Macao Youth Entrepreneur Incubation Centre in Zhongshan and attended a meeting about economic exchanges between Zhongshan and the Portuguese-speaking world.

The visitors later inspected the facilities in Shenzhen of Hong Kong company China Merchants Port Holdings Co. Ltd and of several high-technology companies, before attending a gathering for networking with Shenzhen businesspeople, at which representatives of the Macau Shenzhen Economic and Cultural Promotion Association and science and technology company Beyond Green (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd signed an agreement to set up a facility to exhibit goods from the Portuguese-speaking Countries, IPIM says.
