Over 100 people have confirmed that they will attend a conference about business between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, which will be held in São Tomé and Príncipe on July 8 and 9, STP-Press reports.
The São Tomé and Príncipe news agency quotes the head of the country’s trade promotion agency, Rafael Branco, as saying Mainland China, Macao, Angola, Cabo Verde, Mozambique and Portugal are due to be represented at the meeting.
The report says representatives of Brazil, Timor-Leste and Guiné-Bissau have yet to confirm their attendance.
The purpose of the conference is to increase economic engagement between China and the lusophone world, STP-Press quotes another São Tomé and Príncipe official, Sósimo Leal, as saying.
