Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique and East Timor will enjoy preferential treatment under new import rules approved by the Central Government, the China Briefing website reports.

The new administrative measures were introduced earlier this month and are meant to benefit the least developed countries.

To be eligible, exporters have to register their products with Mainland authorities and show their goods originate in one of the listed countries.

The Macauhub website says the most important change to the existing rules concerns the limit that determines if goods are considered a domestic product. The new rules permit up to 10 percent of a single product to be made elsewhere.
