The Angolan coastal province of Cuanza Sul has great potential as a focus for co-operation between China and the African nation, China’s Ambassador to Angola, Cui Aimin, said on Monday.

Mr Cui Aimin was speaking at a business conference in the province. Angolan news agency Angop quoted him praising Cuanza Sul’s strategic location, adding it offers great investment opportunities to Chinese companies.

The Ambassador said potential co-operation areas with China in that province included the so-called “green economy”, extraction-related industries, manufacturing and transportation.

“China-Angola co-operation… has provided sufficient indicators to reach satisfactory results,” Mr Cui Aimin stated.
