Chinese company Golden Dragon Xiamen and China’s Ministry of Commerce are studying a potential partnership in Mozambique in the field of public transportation, Mozambican newspaper Notícias reported this week.
According to the media outlet, representatives from the Chinese company and China’s Ministry of Commerce were in the African nation last week. They visited the Matchedje Motor car assembly factory in Machava, Maputo province.
The newspaper said the potential partnership in Mozambique would be related to providing technical support to Matchedje Motor in the bus segment.
The Matchedje Motor project was launched four years ago after China Tong Jian Investment became involved in the initiative, newspaper Notícias added.
