Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao to take part in 7th session of Webinars on International Cooperation Against Covid-19 ‘Cooperation Against Covid-19 Using Traditional Medicine’

The seventh session of the Webinars on International Cooperation Against Covid-19, with the theme “Cooperation Against Covid-19 Using Traditional Medicine”, will take place on July 28 at 8pm Beijing time (9am in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). The session will discuss, among other topics: approaches on international cooperation on traditional medicine; the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to prevent Covid-19; exchange of experiences in epidemic prevention; and promotion of research, policy and trade regarding TCM. The Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao is supporting this event and encourages representatives of governments and other institutions from the Portuguese-speaking Countries to take part in it.


Beijing Hengji Health Management and Development Foundation is coordinating the session, which will feature invited speakers. They include: the Executive Deputy Director of the China International Exchange Center of Traditional Chinese Medicine under the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Mr Li Jiangbin; the Coordinator of the Commission for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine of the Brazilian Federal Council of Pharmacy, Mr Paulo Cesar Varanda; the Technical Advisor of the Brazilian National Agricultural Society, Ms Cláudia Fortes; the Director for Development of Organisations at the Brazilian Foundation Dom Cabral, Mr Leonardo Scarpelli; the Director of the Department of Innovation of the Beijing Tong Ren Tang Sinopharm Group, Mr Zhang Jiliang; a Researcher of Medicinal Plants at the Instituto Vital Brazil, Mr Dennys Zsolt Santos; the Chief Executive of Biotech Logística, Mr Alberto Ansaloni; the Secretary-General of Beijing Hengji Health Management and Development Foundation, Ms Zhou Jing; a Physician at the São Paulo-based medical clinic Policlínica Sino Brasil, Dr Zhao Chengcheng; and a Researcher at the Guangdong New South Group, Dr Li Guoming.


The webinar session will be delivered in videoconference format, with live online streaming to international audiences via YouTube; and live online streaming to Mainland China audiences via Kuaishou. Interested parties can scan a QR code featured on a promotional poster in order to watch live streaming of the session.
