Espírito Santo is BYD's Main Vehicle Entry Point in Brazil

Chinese automaker BYD has reaffirmed its confidence in Espírito Santo as Brazil's main gateway for imported and nationalized vehicles. During a meeting on January 27, between the vice governor and state secretary of Development, Ricardo Ferraço, and company executives.


In 2024, BYD brought around 135 thousand hybrid and electric vehicles to Brazil, and approximately 95 thousand of these cars passed through Espírito Santo, consolidating the state's leadership in the sector.


During the meeting, Ricardo Ferraço highlighted the logistical advances in the state, including the creation of new import routes. In addition, construction is underway on a deep-water port in Aracruz, designed to receive BYD's ships, which are capable of transporting up to six thousand vehicles at a time.
