After a visit by governor Mauro Mendes and his delegation to Shenzhen Agricultural Power, the city's food distribution center, on the 11th of November, the Chinese state-owned company, which manages the complex, stated that it will analyze the possibility of installing one of the largest refrigeration plants in the state of Mato Grosso.

Mato Grosso has a significant impact on global food security. This state alone is responsible for feeding approximately 20 million people annually, both in Brazil and abroad. The Chinese giant, a leader in the distribution of food, including vegetables, fruits and meat, supplies more than 200 million Chinese people and exports to Southwest Asia.

“For Mato Grosso, our producers and population, it will be very good if a company as large as this state-owned company in Shenzhen sets up shop in our state. It is income and employment generation and competition for our product”, said governor Mauro Mendes.
