Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and the Social Sciences Academic Press have jointly published the first annual report on the progress of co-operation by China and the Portuguese-speaking world, the university says.
A written statement by the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies says academics in Beijing, Macao and the southern Chinese province of Guangdong contributed to the report.
Its statement quotes Guangdong University of Foreign Studies Chinese Communist Party Secretary Yan Guangjun as saying publication of the report is a milestone in the research done by the university.
Mr Yan said he hoped the report would influence lusophone countries and improve collaboration by his university and researchers in the Portuguese-speaking world.
The report includes chapters on economic engagement, social and cultural engagement and international relations, and suggests ways to improve the outcomes of co-operation, the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies says.
