An executive of China Central Television (CCTV) has said Angolan public service television broadcaster TPA EP is the only African contributor of programmes to her government-run television network, Jornal de Angola reports.

The newspaper quotes the executive, Florence Zhao, as saying during a side-event of an international conference in Beijing on the Chinese One Belt, One Road initiative that CCTV and several African broadcasters have exchange deals, but that so far TPA is the only African broadcaster to supply CCTV with content.

Ms Zhao said CCTV had given several Angolan journalists technical and content management training.

CCTV is looking for African journalists to employ as news correspondents, Jornal de Angola quotes Ms Zhao as saying.
