The Brazilian National Confederation of Industry and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency have announced that they will send a business delegation to the second China International Import Expo, to be held in Shanghai in November.

The confederation and agency jointly issued a written statement describing the Shanghai expo as one of the most important events in the business calendar this year.

The dispatch of the business delegation is a manifestation of their intention to spend 13 million reais (about US$3.19 million) on promoting Brazilian enterprises around the world in the next two and a half years, the joint announcement says.

In a different joint written statement, the trade promotion agency and an association of Brazilian food makers say China is among the eight markets where they will spend over 5 million reais on business promotion by the end of 2021.
