The Chinese economy will grow 6.6 percent in the fourth quarter, says the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

China’s economy expanded 6.7 percent in the first half of this year, according to official figures, which matches the whole-year forecast released by the academy on Tuesday.

The academy’s report wants the government to continue developing effective financial policies and moderate monetary policies, to push reform, and economic sustainability.

The academy expects inflation to grow by 2 percent this year, following a 2.1-percent hike in the fourth quarter.
