The Mozambique Government will invest US$22 million in the construction of training centres to help people farming smallholdings to enhance their production, Mozambican newspaper O País reported this week.
The centres will help 23,000 farmers to develop skills including crop collection. It will also train women to manage agricultural equipment stores, the newspaper said.

Six such centres will be inaugurated this week. A further 17 will be built in provinces that have what the report described as agricultural potential; such as Nampula, Tete and Zambézia.
