The International Cooperation Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB), in partnership with the Confucius Institute of the Fluminense Federal University and the Normal University of Hebei, China, offers virtual courses for teaching Chinese language and culture to beginners.

The action provides a free learning opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, and professors at the Federal University of Pará to begin their studies in Chinese language and culture with native professors. The Chinese Language classes have a workload of 45 hours. The Introduction to Chinese Culture course aims to provide basic knowledge about Chinese culture such as China’s customs, history, philosophy and religion. Classes will have a 22-hour load.

At the end of the course, all applicants must participate in the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi – HSK1, the Chinese language proficiency exam for non-native speakers, held in June.
