The digital corridor between China and Brazil is undergoing a phase of strong expansion. Driven by the growth of international e-commerce and the increasingly direct connection between Brazilian consumers and Chinese suppliers, this movement goes beyond online shopping and is establishing itself as an integrated infrastructure linking marketplaces, logistics and financial solutions.

The Brazilian Ambassador to China, Marcos Galvão, stated that the relationship between the two countries has enabled advances in various sectors, including tourism. Brazil's decision to grant visa-free entry to Chinese citizens holding ordinary passports has triggered an immediate surge in interest in travel to the country across several regions of China. The measure came into effect on 11 May and allows Chinese tourists to stay in Brazil for up to 30 days without a visa.

Chinese tourists have no longer needed a visa to enter Brazil since 11 May. The announcement was made recently by Brazilian Vice-President Geraldo Alckmin during the Tourism Fair held in Fortaleza, in the state of Ceara.

A delegation from the Brazilian Mathematics Teachers' Olympiad (OPMbr) is in China from 4 to 15 May 2026, as part of an educational and cultural mission. The group is composed of teachers honoured in the second edition of the OPMBr, dedicated to secondary school teachers recognised for their pedagogical excellence and contribution to strengthening education in Brazil.
