The third monorail train of Line 17-Gold of the São Paulo Metro is in the testing phase at the BYD factory in Guang'an, China. The train is undergoing a series of checks to ensure that all its systems operate to the standards required by the Metro before being transported to Brazil. Shipment is scheduled for the beginning of April and arrival at the Port of Santos at the beginning of June.
The so-called routine factory tests include the evaluation of 15 essential train systems, such as traction, brakes, doors, lighting and air conditioning. During this process, technicians identify and correct possible faults to ensure that the train functions properly.
Meanwhile, the second train, which has already landed in Brazil, is scheduled to be
transported from the Port of Santos to the Agua Espraiada yard this month, continuing the fleet assembly and testing schedule. The fourth train is also in the final stages of manufacture.
