Five of the ten largest e-commerce platforms in Brazil are Asian, and four of them are Chinese. Shopee, Temu, Shein and AliExpress, along with South Korea's Samsung, together recorded 639 million accesses in January 2025, according to Conversion's “E-commerce Sectors in Brazil” report. The imported market grew by 68% compared to the same month in 2024.
Temu, owned by PDD Holdings, is the fastest-growing Asian platform. In January, the platform recorded a 38.5% increase in accesses, adding 39.7 million more visits than in the previous month. Its model prioritizes low prices and a rewards system that keeps consumers engaged.
Shopee continues to consolidate its presence in Brazil, investing in logistics and expanding its marketplace. Shein and AliExpress are following similar measures, betting on pricing strategies and digital experience to increase their customer base.
