In September, the Rector of the University of Cape Verde, José Arlindo Barreto, welcomed seven new volunteer Chinese teachers and one public Chinese teacher, as part of the collaboration between the Confucius Institute of the University of Cape Verde and the Guangzhou University of Foreign Studies. These educators will be distributed across secondary schools in Praia, São Domingos, Santa Cruz and Santa Catarina, continuing the mission of teaching Chinese language and culture in Cape Verde.

The reception of these Chinese teachers took place in the Rector's office at the University of Cape Verde. The Rector welcomed these teachers and encouraged them to contribute to the Chinese language and culture educational program, following the example of their predecessors.

The arrival of the Chinese teachers reinforces the ongoing educational cooperation between Cape Verde and China, promoting cultural and linguistic exchange between the two countries.
