Chinese Ambassador to Brazil Yang Wanming thinks China and Brazil could cooperate more in technology, agriculture, tourism and sport, Xinhua reports.
The Chinese government-run news agency quotes Mr Yang as saying in an interview published this week that his country and Brazil could work together on satellites, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and fifth-generation (5G) wireless telecommunications.
Mr Yang called for new ways to strengthen Sino-Brazilian ties.
In the 45 years since Brazil and the People’s Republic of China established diplomatic relations, their mutual trust in political matters has grown and their cooperation has become an example to other developing countries, he said.
The new Brazilian government, which came into office earlier this year, considers Sino-Brazilian cooperation important, and the Sino-Brazilian relationship is developing steadily and healthily, Xinhua quotes the ambassador as saying.
