Chinese Ambassador to Brazil Yang Wanming has expressed optimism about the potential of Brazil to develop in the medium and long run, Istoé Dinheiro reports.

The Brazilian magazine quotes Mr Yang as saying in an interview that there are opportunities for more Chinese investment in Brazil.

Mr Yang said Chinese companies actively maintain contact with the government, enterprises and business associations in Brazil to find out how they can increase the amount of business they do there.

He said that so far 300 Chinese companies had invested nearly US$80 billion in Brazil.

China can help Brazil use fifth-generation wireless telecommunications to improve its information communication infrastructure, Istoé Dinheiro quotes Mr Yang as saying.
