The construction of a fishing port and hotel in Prabis, in the Biombo region of Guinea-Bissau, will get underway in March, the Macauhub website reports.

Fujian Shihai announced earlier this year it would invest more than US$300 million to fund the development.

The report quoted Fode Djassi, a company representative in Guinea-Bissau, as saying the company was securing the capital to fund the project and waiting for approval.

The construction phase of the project could employ at least 3,000 workers, including Chinese technicians.
