The General Directorate of Sports of Cape Verde will send a 20-strong delegation to China for training in sports management, Cape Verde news agency Inforpress reported last week.
The delegation of government officers and teachers will participate in a 21-day programme at the Olympic Sports Centre, in Beijing.
Gerson Melo, head of the General Directorate of Sports, said the programme aims to provide the trainees with expertise in various capacities in the management of sports infrastructure and systems.
After their return, the delegates would help manage the municipal and school sports facilities in the African nation, he added.
The sports body was also promoting a series of training initiatives in other areas, the report said.
