A delegation organised by the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Forum Macao) will visit Jiangmen, in Guangdong Province, this month as part of a Macao-wide delegation participating in the ‘Dynamic Macao Week in Jiangmen’. Also attending the event will be the participants in the ‘Workshop on Training for Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises from Portuguese-speaking Countries’. The Workshop has been organised by the Training Centre of Forum Macao.
The Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao will also set up a Portuguese-speaking Countries Pavilion at the Wuyi Huaqiao Plaza Convention Center at the ‘Dynamic Macao Week in Jiangmen’ event.
The delegation will also take part in a ‘Conference on Business Co-operation between Jiangmen, Macao and Portuguese-speaking Countries’. There will also be visits to local companies.
These events promoted by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao aim to support the promotional activities of the Macao SAR Government; to publicise more fully the work being done by Forum Macao; to highlight the role of Macao as a service platform; to explain the investment environment and business opportunities of Portuguese-speaking Countries; and to promote regional economic and trade co-operation.
The Pavilion aims to explain the society and economy of, respectively, seven Portuguese-Speaking Countries, namely: Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal and East Timor. The Pavilion will showcase traditional products from each country, with additional explanatory photographs and texts.
The ‘Conference on Business Co-operation between Jiangmen, Macao and Portuguese-speaking Countries’ is jointly organised by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute and the Jiangmen Bureau of Commerce. It will be held from 2.30pm on April 21, at Ballroom 3, on the 3rd floor of the Wanda Realm Jiangmen Hotel.
