Official data indicate that 76,599 jobs were created in Brazil last month, exceeding the number created the month before for the seventh month in a row, Xinhua reports.

The Chinese state-run news agency, citing Brazilian Ministry of Labour and Employment figures, says 37,321 jobs were created last month in commerce and 15,915 created in services.

The report quotes Minister of Labour and Employment Ronaldo Nogueira as saying: “These are numbers that give us increased certainty that the measures taken by the government have put Brazil back on the track of economic growth.”

The Brazilian unemployment rate fell to 12.4 percent in September from its historical peak of 13.7 percent in March, Xinhua says.
