Exports from Portuguese-speaking countries to Macao increased by 65.1% in January

The value of exports from Portuguese-speaking countries to Macao SAR was 124.8 million patacas last month, up 65.1% compared to the same month of 2022, according to the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) of Macao.

Most exports came from Brazil, worth 99.4 million patacas, which was made up mainly of meat, fish and seafood. Macao also bought goods worth 25.3 million patacas from Portugal, including clothing and accessories, alcoholic beverages and pharmaceutical products.

According to official figures, the Portuguese-speaking countries did not buy goods from Macao in January. In the same month of last year, Macao recorded exports worth around 58,300 patacas to Portuguese-speaking countries.
