On October 8, the Brazilian company Petrobras confirmed that they will open an office in China at the end of the year, informing that the project has already been approved by the company's board of directors and aims to provide services of diligence, inspection, supervision and engineering for Petrobras' Stationary Production Unit Projects (platforms) in China.
The implementation is underway according to a schedule that takes into account Petrobras' internal processes and local legislation, and is expected to be completed this year.
The former president of the state-owned company, Jean Paul Prates, announced the Petrobras' intention of return to China in December last year, as part of the company's restoration of internationalization, stating that the Chinese office would facilitate negotiations between the two countries.
