In May, BYD showed that, even with a general decline in sales in the Brazilian automotive market, it remained firmly in the lead among electric vehicles, registering 3,695 100% electric units and more than 71% market share.
The leader of the month was the BYD Dolphin Mini, which alone had 2,104 units sold, followed by the BYD Song Plus, the best-selling plug-in hybrid SUV (PHEV) of the month, with 1,560 new cars circulating on the streets.
In terms of 100% electric and hybrid vehicles, BYD also remains in the lead, with 5,255 registered units, which guarantees the brand to remain among the top 10 in the general automotive market.
The BYD dealership network continues to expand, with the opening of the 100th store in Florianópolis (SC), operated by the DVA group. BYD plans that the network in Brazil will have 250 dealerships.
