Representatives of the Vitória Stone Fair, a trade fair for ornamental rock which takes place in Vitória in the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo, have been looking for partnerships at the China Xiamen International Stone Fair, ES Hoje reports.

The Vitória newspaper says the purpose of such partnerships would be to attract new exhibitors and buyers to the next Vitória Stone Fair, which will be held from June 5 to 8.

The report quotes Flávia Milanez, the head of the company that puts on the Vitória Stone Fair, as saying: “China is a great market for Brazil. We need to have an even closer relationship, and bring in more partners.”

According to Tales Machado, the head of Brazilian ornamental rock industry association, at least 10 Chinese business delegations have visited Espírito Santo in the past few months, ES Hoje says.
