Portuguese media company NOS SGPS SA has added the China Theater Channel to its cable television service, O Jornal Económico reports.

The Portuguese newspaper quotes a written statement issued by NOS as saying it will carry the China Theater Channel around the clock, in high definition with Portuguese subtitles.

The company says the new foreign content will give its cable television service “a bigger connection to the Chinese community in Portugal”.

The China Theater Channel will show television series and films popular in China, including the children’s film Kids of Wuzhumuqin Town and the drama series Romance of Our Parents, O Jornal Económico says.
