Chinese President Xi Jinping received on Wednesday credentials presented by the new ambassadors of 13 countries, including João Salvador dos Santos Neto of Angola, Xinhua reports.
The Chinese government-run news agency quotes Mr Xi as saying: “China attaches great importance to ties with the countries, and stands ready to further strengthen mutual trust, co-operation and exchanges, so as to advance bilateral ties and better benefit the people.”
The Chinese government will help the new ambassadors in their work, Xinhua quotes Mr Xi as saying.
Previously, Angolan news media reported that the new Angolan ambassador in Beijing is João Salvador dos Santos Neto, who replaces João Garcia Bires.
