Universities in Macao and Cabo Verde agree on exchanges

Representatives of the City University of Macao and the University of Cabo Verde have signed an agreement meant to increase cooperation among institutions of tertiary education in Macao, Mainland China and Portuguese-speaking world, the Macao Daily News reports.

The newspaper says the universities will exchange of staff and students, share resources for research and train each other’s personnel, among other things.

The report says the universities would educate speakers of Portuguese that show potential by exploiting the function of Macao as a bridge between China and the lusophone world.

The agreement was signed in Macao by City University of Macao Pro-rector Ip Kuai Peng and University of Cabo Verde Pro-rector Aristides Lopes Silva, the Macao Daily News says.
