The University of Macau has signed a cooperation agreement with the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press in Beijing to translate and publish Chinese-language and Portuguese-language classics.

The University of Macau said the work could help to nurture Chinese-Portuguese translation professionals.

The translations will include literature, language, culture, history and art.

Portuguese-language majors and graduates will be offered training courses in translation.
