Brazilizan Minister of Agriculture meets with Chinese delegation

In a meeting with the delegation from the People’s Republic of China in Brazil on the afternoon of the 3rd of February, the Minister of Agriculture, Carlos Fávaro, stressed the country’s interest in strengthening trade of various products with China.

Also according to the Ministry’s note, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Brazil, Zhu Qingqiao, said that both countries are at a crucial stage of development. “We have great expectations for the quantitative and qualitative increase in our cooperation,” he said.

China is the main buyer of Brazil’s soybean complex products, or US$819.82 million of the export in December 2022 (65.8% of the total). It is also the largest importer of Brazilian corn. Sales were authorized last November and have already reached 1.10 million tons in December.
