To complete the project, the Brazilian companies Hidro Elétrica do So Francisco (Chesf) and Goldwind signed a R$ 66.6 million contract to supply equipment for the Casa Nova B Wind Farm in Bahia. The project has an installed capacity of 27 MW, distributed over 18 wind turbines.

With this contract, work on the project will resume in the second half of this year, with commercial operations beginning in 2025. The project was paralyzed in 2014 with 60% of physical progress due to the bankruptcy of the former supplier.

It is an opportunity for Chesf and Goldwind to complete the Casa Nova wind farms and ensure more renewable energy and development for the Northeast, said Fabio Alves, president of Chesf.
