Yulin, in the southern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, earlier hosted a delegation of 15 diplomats and representatives from 10 countries in China, including Cape Verde, Zambia and East Timor.
Diplomats visited the city's spice market. Aires Elísio Aparício Guterres, counselor at the Timor-Leste embassy in China, highlighted that he is focused on improving spice processing, brand building and international trade capacity to learn from China's experience in the areas of modern agriculture, logistics and marketing to further boost the sector.
The visit also included a stop at Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group, where diplomats explored the company's new production capabilities and international expansion. Arlindo do Rosário, Cape Verde’s ambassador to China, expressed great interest in Yuchai’s energy solutions. He commented that modernizing energy technologies is essential to improving fisheries development as an African island country with a large fishing fleet.
The diplomats stressed that the visit to Yulin gave them a deeper understanding of the local industrial and cultural dynamism and opened up new possibilities for cooperation with China.
