Between January and October this year, exports of photovoltaic products from the Chinese city of Wenzhou to Brazil totaled more than 500 million yuan, an impressive increase of 163.6% compared to the same period last year, according to statistics from the Wenzhou customs office.
The growth reflects the robust development of Brazil's solar energy market. Currently, Brazil is among the fastest-growing countries in installed solar energy capacity, which reached 24 GW in 2022, positioning the country as the eighth largest in the world. By 2023, total capacity had already grown to 34.9 GW.
These numbers highlight Brazil's strategic role in the global renewable energy scenario, as well as the relevance of commercial partnerships between China and Brazil in the photovoltaic sector.
Among the main exporters of photovoltaic products from Wenzhou to Brazil, the company Yueqing Chint Solar Technology Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of the Chint Group, stands out as the leader, mainly exporting photovoltaic modules of the n-TOPCon type to markets such as Brazil.
