Chinese GAC Group has officially started operating in Brazil. The announcement was made on the company's LinkedIn page, where this Chinese brand advertised various job opportunities in different areas.

As one of the first automakers in China to produce purely battery-powered cars, GAC plans to invest US$1 billion in Brazil over the next five years, including plans to establish factories, research and development centers and warehouses for spare parts.

GAC’s arrival in Brazil is part of its global expansion strategy, which began in 2021. GAC aims to consolidate its presence in the Brazilian market with a local production line and development centers that promise to strengthen its operations in Latin America.
