Beijing Capital Airlines will now offer four weekly frequencies on the Lisbon-Hangzhou route in China. The information was given at the event commemorating the 100th anniversary of the first flight between Portugal and China, which took place on April 2nd at Lisbon Airport.

The event was attended by Sandra Ferreira, director of Lisbon Airport, Coral Chen, General Manager of Beijing Capital Airlines, Thierry Ligonniére, CEO of ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal, and Lídia Monteiro, member of the board of directors of Turismo de Portugal.

Representing Beijing Capital Airlines, Coral Chen said that the increase in connections between the two countries further strengthens the relationship between Portugal and China, particularly in terms of commercial exchange and the promotion of tourism.

Lídia Monteiro highlighted the importance of the airline in bringing a greater number of Chinese tourists to Portugal, considering that the carrier is a key partner for the country, as it is currently the only airline that offers a direct service between China and Portugal.
