Vice-President envisages Chinese helping Brazilian economy to recover

Brazilian Vice-President Hamilton Mourão has said the Sino-Brazilian partnership may help the economic recovery in his country, the Global Times reports.

The Chinese state-run newspaper quotes Mr Mourão as saying in an interview that after visiting China last month he advised Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro to increase cooperation by the Brazilian and Chinese governments.

The Vice-President said Brazil should export a greater variety of goods to China, attract more Chinese investment in its infrastructure, and increase Sino-Brazilian cooperation in science, technology and innovation.

Mr Bolsonaro intends to visit China in October, the Global Times quotes Mr Mourão as saying.
