A newly opened Bank of China branch could help promote economic and
trade ties between Angola and Mainland China, the government owned
Xinhua news agency reports.
Bank of China President Chen Siqing made the comments as the bank’s Luanda branch commenced operations yesterday.
The
first Mainland bank to open in Angola, the Bank of China branch will
serve Chinese companies in Angola and support enterprises seeking
opportunities in the world’s second largest economy.
The branch will
leverage the bank’s advantages in cross-border business and
yuan-denominated banking to provide quality financial services that
facilitate China-Angola cooperation, Mr Chen said.
